john and i celebrated new year's eve by cancelling plans to meet up with some friends---he's recovering from the cold that he got from me, poor guy, and i was feverishly working on sewing some diapers for the baby. glad to report that we're getting near our birthing time! there's some lower back-achy-ness, just early labor signs... but it looks like baby will be here soon enough! as i heard fireworks outside, and people doing the countdown and cheering outside, baby began to move and dance. he's workin' to get out!
